Dun ponies highlighted on the dunes,

sun-bright coats the colour of sand,

standing against a mane-black sky

and behind a silver veil of solid rain.

Beach bleached white with pulverised shells,

the sea a brilliant turquoise,

storm-hued clouds and rocks

in stark contrast.

From the shore to the horizon out at sea,

more subtle variations of shade,

from lighter to darker,

until sea and sky merge.
