To the man I witnessed verbally abusing his dog

and who drove off before I could remonstrate:

I know from the phone call I overheard

that you have lost your income

and I am truly sorry for that.

It is hard for us all right now.

But that is no excuse for abuse.

We are all connected:

by hurting your dog, you hurt me and you hurt yourself.

Please be kind, not cruel.

Be kind to yourself, be kind to your dog, be kind to me.

Cruelty just makes things worse

and kindness makes it all better.

Be kind to all kind.
